FCS Endorsement!

Let's see, not much to say. Same old, same old. I was super happy to make it to the weekend. I am TIRED today. It was a stressful week. The yearbook is due in 8 days so I worked on that a ton and I finished my first paper for my last class. All of the assignments in this class tie into the final project so they are a bit harder and more stressful...BUT they will help make the final project easier I hope.

I got my FCS endorsement officially in the mail. Huzzah! I had to take some classes at ISU and pass the FCS praxis to get the endorsement. I had to work with a professor to do all of this and she was so scatter brained. I was a little unsure if it would all work out but it did. It took me about a year to get my classes in because they were spread out between Winter, Summer and Fall semesters. It's done! So glad. Now if I can get this master's behind me it will feel SO good! I've been working too hard and I can't wait to be done. Until then, spring break is in 3 weeks. Counting down!

Corbin and I hung out for several hours in the beehive room last Sunday at Nana's house. Just a couple of sickies.

Scott's boss bought him a s'mores maker. Piper especially loves it and wants to make a s'more everyday.

Wahoo official documentation.

Quick Trip to Utah

I passed another class. I am 3/4ths done! My final class is preparing me for my final project. I'm currently trying to figure out the most straightforward final project. It has my head spinning a bit. Baby steps. I will figure something out.

Friday night my sister Kelsey came to Boise to watch the Butte High girls basketball team compete at state. She and I went and watched the game together. It was fun. The girls had a really good 2nd quarter but the rest of the game was not so great. They lost that game. They ended up getting 3rd overall. Still pretty good! It was fun to hang out with Kelsey for the night. She spent the night and left in the morning to go shopping and watch the game. I didn't have time to hang out with her because I needed to get ready to leave for Utah.

Janet's brother Rick died unexpectedly last week. We aren't sure why yet. He was born mentally challenged and wasn't expected to live beyond childhood. He had a good life and was a bright light to all that knew him. We came down to Utah for a quick visit. We decided a bit last minute and didn't come down until late Saturday. We got here last night around 8:00 ish. This weekend worked out better for us rather than coming next weekend for the memorial service. Unfortunately, Corbin is sick and quarantined in a room. I seem to be getting sicker by the minute. I'm hoping we don't get everyone sick. Sheesh. We will head back home tomorrow. Fingers crossed Corbin and I get better soon and don't infect the others!

Just one more class and my final project left!

Watching the b-ball game.

Sweet sweet Uncle Rick, RIP.

Gabby's Birthday!

It's Gabby's birthay today! She's 12! Crazy! Today has been a pretty chill day. We had a special birthday breakfast. After that I made her birthday cake. I then had to experiment with a few recipes for school. I was in the kitchen until 1:30. Oy! After that I took Gabby to a few stores to do some birthday shopping. We then got a Wendy's frosty and french fry. Tonight we are having twice baked potatoes, a Gabby favorite! Yesterday she celebrated with friends. She invited four friends to celebrate with her. We went to the Rollerdrome in Nampa. Boy was it crowded! We had to wait in line for 30 minutes before we got in. Annoying. The rink was very crowded. It was still fun though. After that I took the girls to Krispy Kreme to pick out a donut for later and we ate dinner at McDonalds. We got home and Gabby opened presents and they left. It was perfect.

Other than that it was a mostly regular week. Ryan randomly got sick on Tuesday I think. I got  a call from the school that he had barfed. Normally in the past Scott has covered stuff like that because he has a little more flexibility with his work but that's not been the case lately. They always seem to be short staffed lately. Luckily my schedule is a little more flexible this semester so I was able to easily get someone to cover for me and leave for the day. Ryan looked mighty peaked when I picked him up. He started to watch a show and fell asleep (which he never ever naps). When he woke up he looked much better. Within a few hours he was eating and was fine. Random!

I did two WGU papers last week. I have one more beastly one to finish my latest class. I'm hoping to finish that one this week. After that I only have one more class until my final project. I feel so close and so far away. These papers are painful! Oy! Can't wait to be done.

A recipe I adapted and we will try to make in class. I'm calling it hashbrown muffins.

Sick buddy.

Corbin and Gabby both got straight A's last semester. Good job!

Cute roller girls.

Fun group!

Cutest!

12!

Update

This past week was nice! Work-wise it was an easy week and I finished 2 assignments for WGU. I passed another class. I have earned 21 credits. I have two classes to go and then my final project. In the past 9 weeks, I have written 26 papers and I have 7 papers left. I am going to continue to take breaks as needed. I have until the end of March to finish those papers. I didn't work on WGU this weekend and it's been nice! I have until the end of May to finish my final project. I will continue to work on it as I'm in the mood and if I get on a roll I will go with it and I will take breaks when I need to.

Yesterday we went to the library for a bit. It was weird we used to go ALL the time and we haven't really been since Covid hit. What a weird thing Covid has been.

My sister-in-law Christy got involved with a project in Africa. You can sponsor a child to help them get an education. We decided to sponsor a child as well. We got introduced to our sponsor yesterday. His name is Branson. I don't really know how it works. He's 5. I don't know if we just pay every year until he graduates? I guess we will find out.

I'm not positive which child he is in this picture.

Piper finished a cross stitch pattern from Nana.
