Well after a record break for me I'm ready to begin blogging again. I love having a place to go back and see pictures and to help me remember events since my memory is garbage. I've been faithfully journaling since I was little and I'm ready to start again. Scott and I are getting divorced and it is nearly official. It has been the most stressful process of my life and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. It is not the easy choice and it will never be easy but it was definitely the right choice. The kids so far have handled this transition amazingly well. I was worried about this past week because it was the first week with me working and the kids in school. I was worried that the chaos of early mornings and lots of driving would be stressful and hard and I think it is for the kids a little but I don't think it's as hard as any of us expected it to be. For me time in the car with my kids is still time with my kids which I cherish. Having my kids 50% of the time is definitely the worst part of divorce and I hate it. There are still some stressful unknowns like when, where, and how I will buy a house and can I afford to live? I have a little bit of time to figure it out as my cousin is generously letting me stay in one of his rentals for a discounted rent price. I know I will figure it out and I feel better than I've felt in a long time. I feel overall very peaceful and happy. So far this school year is GREAT. I feel really good about my classes and I'm tired of complaining about traveling at North. I still may try to switch schools but with how I feel right now I might not. I really love a lot of things about teaching there and I particularly love the content of the subjects I teach at the Junior High level.
Some recaps of summer. The house I'm renting has a pool, tennis courts, basketball court, and a lot of paths for walking and biking. We enjoyed all of that very much. Our highlight might have been when we got to dog sit for my friend Krista for 6 days. It was like a staycation filled with puppy loves and delicious food and snacks. We really enjoyed that. We also went to Arco for my family reunion and had a great time there. The kids enjoyed a trip to St. George with Scott's family. I spent a lot of time with Gabe's family as Christy has somewhat adopted me and I go to McCall with them and eat dinner with them quite a bit. My big summer divorce therapy project was painting Quinton's rental. The paint was old and gross. It took me the whole summer to paint the ceilings, walls, baseboards, and doors. It looks and feels so much better over here.
Now for picture overload.

My good friend Roxanne, the Adult Living teacher at Boise High, invited me to go with her culinary class to a competition in Disneyworld last spring. I got to go for free! It was so much fun! |

The competition was difficult. The kids did great! |
|
Cute kids! |

I was able to go to Arizona with my bestie Jenny from college when school got out. It was good to have some chill time with her. I needed it. |

Hart and Jory treated my kids to bi-weekly trips to their climbing gym. It was a great part of our summer. |

Corbin helped me with my new kitchen table project. |

My parents and my sister came to help me paint for a few days. It was fun and we got a ton done! |

The house is cute. I keep hoping Quinton will sell it to me. |

I had a gift card for this restaurant in Hyde Park. We went for our last summer hoorah. |
|
A dog came at me and knocked me down on my run a couple weeks ago. It's been SO painful and I haven't been able to exercise. That kind of injury on the knee hurts!!! |
|
The scrape was deep and is still healing and still hurts. |
|
CUTE! |

I was channeling fall time and comfort. Piper almost starting crying while she was eating. I think it worked...the comfort part at least. It will be 98 degrees tomorrow. |
