Track and Prom

4 more Mondays! The school year is wrapping up. We are all feeling the burn out. We can do it, one day at a time. My catering gig is Thursday and I can't wait until that is over. The logistics on that are challenging.  I'm not quite sure how it's going to work out yet but I know that it will. It will be celebration time after that! Corbin and Gabby had a home track meet on Thursday. Corbin and Gabby both got their personal bests in both the 100 and 200 meters. Way to go! It's been fun to see them involved in track. 

I agreed to chaperone prom and asked my boyfriend John to go with me. He was a good sport about it. We have been dating for 3 months. I like him a lot. Time will tell! He fixed my sprinklers over the weekend so that was amazing and won him some more brownie points.

Happy Easter!

 Happy Easter! We celebrated with a big breakfast. The kids are going to their dad's tonight for dinner so we had a yummy breakfast. I love when I can kill two birds with one stone, which I did with the breakfast. My culinary class is catering for the staff (about 115 people) so I am in figure it out mode. I assembled a bunch of the breakfast items a few days in advance to see if they would be good if cooked days later and they were. Huzzah! Now I need to figure out amounts. That gig is May 1st. I can't wait until that is over. This time of year is busy and everyone is pretty burned out. We have 5 more weeks! We just need to dig deep and get there!

I have to chaperone prom so I had my class help me ask the guy that I'm dating to go to prom with me. Should be fun!

Piper is learning how to sew in her FCS class so she wanted to sew a bag this weekend. She only asked me a few questions and sewed the bag right up!

Wicked Weekend!

Yay! It's finally April! I love April and May in Boise. We can have some terrible spring days still but we also have the most beautiful days. There is nothing like the gift of a beautiful spring day after a long winter. I also love how many flowering trees are in Boise. It's just beautiful! I had kind of an awesome week because on Thursday my Child Development class had a field trip on Friday. We went to a preschool all day, it's always nice to change things up. I had my postpartum check up appointment on Friday so I just took the day off so it was so nice! 7 more Mondays! 

My sister Kelsey planned a girls weekend months ago for us to go see the play Wicked. It was very fun to hang with them over the weekend. I was a bit in and out because I have my kids this week and I needed to do things with them as well. Christy sent her family to McCall for the weekend and hosted the traveling family and she is just the most incredible host. It was a really fun girls weekend.
