Pinewood Derby

On Monday Corbin was claiming to be sick and I didn't think that he was. I told him if he was sick he was going to have to lay in his bed all day and not watch any tv or play any video games. He went and crawled in bed so I knew he was serious about not wanting to go. He finally told me he was bored at school and didn't want to go. I decided to let him play hooky, but if he stayed home he would have to mow the lawn, which he did.

On Tuesday I met Anna at BK for lunch with the kids. That night Corbin had his pinewood derby competition. His car was pretty slow. At least it wasn't the slowest. Later that night I went with friends to My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. It was alright. The first one was much better.

We've had our gecko for just over a week. It hasn't been without a little drama. One morning right before school Gabby lost spot. Yikes! The kids had 5 minutes to find him before we had to go. Luckily they found him. I did not want a gecko on the loose. The other drama was that he didn't eat for 6 days! We were so worried our first pet was going to die in the first week! We didn't let the kids hold him for 3 days straight because we were worried that over handling him was causing him too much stress. Scott went to the pet store and they suggested we try feeding him roaches. It worked! Little spot will live to play another day. The kids LOVE him.

Pinewood Derby!

The girls made "cookies" out of sand and play dough.

Gabby can whip up a craft in a few seconds flat. Do you see her campfire with marshmallows? She kills me!

I painted a kitchen table for my friend this week. It looked TERRIBLE before. I should have taken a picture.
