Back to Workie

Going back to work on Monday was rough. It's hard to shift from vacation mode to work mode. I went to the Family Dollar on my lunch break and bought some Christmas cheer for work. I felt so alone and dreary back at work. The Christmas stuff helped. Now I just make sure I have music playing in the background or a show or something so it doesn't feel so weird. Janet is staying in Texas for two extra weeks so I'm alone in my classroom. We have the option to work from home but it feels pretty gray and I get the impression that my principal would rather have us come into work. I decided to work from home on Thursday. It was the first time I'd been home alone during the day in probably a year. It was nice! I think I might work from home once a week. We will see. I'm in the process of figuring out what I need to do to get my FCS endorsement. I'm talking to someone from ISU on the phone tomorrow. I will be curious to see what I'm in for exactly. I'm hoping it's not ridiculous. Some of the other FCS teachers in the district said they wanted them to take around 40 extra credits but they were able to get it down to about 12. I'm hoping it's something like that for me. Fingers crossed!

Other than that Corbin goes to school in person on Tuesday and Thursday and the other kids go in person every day. I don't know how long it will last but I love having my kids in school that's for sure.

I'm just soaking up all the Christmas things. I love Christmas!

Ryan's class needed cupcakes and I forced him to help me make them. Ha

I decided to take the girls on a little mall date. Piper has never been to the mall. Ha. We got a treat and went to Claires. It was so crowded I hated it but the girls had fun so it was worth it. Ha.

Ugly sweater competition at work. I found that sweater for $5 at Savers. I think it's amazing! I hope I win. Ha.

I kick back and relax a bit while working in a big empty classroom.

Bought the tiny tree and lights...better than nothing!
