Utah Visit

It’s been a good week. The kids went back to school on Monday. It was so nice to have them back to school but not have to be at work. I did a lot of WGU homework. I think I will be able to finish my master’s in 4 months. We will see. I also have a ton of work to do for the yearbook in the next two months so maybe not. Regardless, my 6-month goal seems very achievable at this point which is exciting. I find the program to be a bit addicting. I love when I turn in a task and pass it on the first try. Sometimes I must do some additional work but every time I pass a task, I get a rush of adrenaline and it makes me ready to knock out another task. I am waiting for my 4th task results on this latest course. If I pass on the first try, I will have finished a three-credit class in 4 days…addicting!  (Update...I did pass...woot!)

We pulled the kids out of school for Thursday and Friday so we could visit Scott’s family. We couldn’t go before since I was on jury duty last week. Unfortunately, it’s finals for our kids so maybe not the best time to leave school. Oops. Oh well. We had a good time in Utah. The kids love seeing their cousins, Nana and Papa, and Colie and Rustin. Scott and I went to a late Spiderman movie Thursday night. I had a very loud nap for about 45 minutes. I was so tired. I woke up at just the right moment and really enjoyed the last 45 minutes. There are too many action sequences in those movies for me anyway. I’m good with missing 45 minutes. On Friday night we went and hung out at Carole’s house in Daybreak in South Jordan. The kids ran around and played hard in Carole’s basement. I discovered that Carole lives .4 miles from my cousin Brooke. It turns out she was having a sister’s weekend, so I popped over and hung out with them for a few hours on Friday night. It was super fun to hang out with my cousins, most of whom I haven’t seen in over 20 years.

Now I need to get ready to plan for the week I am starting a new semester, so I have a chance for a fresh start. Some of my classes were terrible last semester. It’s always nice to change it up and get another chance to figure things out and do better and be better.  Alright, well that’s all!

Hart cousins! Brooke and Shelley were the only Hart cousins I really hung out with when I was growing up.

Yesterday was pretty warm for January. The kids and fun adults (not me) went out and played tag.
