This last week was pretty terrible. I got my results from my paper on Monday and I failed. I started panicking about my timeline and I sent my mentor a distressed email. She called me immediately. She reassured me and told me there was some flexibility on the time line. That was a relief but I think I'm going to be a hot mess this whole month until I finish this last class. This class is setting me up for my final project and will be part of the final project. It's good they are being picky now so I can get it right and not fail my final project but still...ugh. I talked with my professor on Tuesday and it was helpful and I got my project redirected. I turned in my paper again and got my results today and failed AGAIN. I haven't struggled this much since my first paper. Every day matters. UGH! I will probably get it all done but I might not. Luckily worst case scenario (I think), I don't finish this class in time and I have to extend to June and pay tuition again and finish in June. Please bless I get this figured out. This month is going to suck.
I also started my sewing machine unit. It is a personal kind of hell to teach a class full of 8th graders how to use a sewing machine. I have to be SO patient and they touch all the settings and mess everything up and then jam parts in the machine wrong and break needles constantly. IT IS HARD! Oy! We made it through week 1. 2 MORE WEEKS TO SPRING BREAK!
The yearbook is due in two days. I've been click, click, clicking on the pages trying to finish and make them better. I'm actually not stressed about yearbook. It is what it is. I can only do so much. Considering everything I think it's pretty good.
Family update: Scott applied to ISU to get into their counseling program. He hasn't heard back yet. I am not looking forward to being poor students again. It will be worth it when it's done.
Corbin: Not much, he seems to have no homework and straight A's. He does the dinner dishes every night.
Gabby: She does hours of homework every night! I don't get it. What the what? She's in 6th grade. She also got her bottom braces.
Piper: She was star student last week. Her teacher wrote her the NICEST note.
Ryan: He is SO quirky. He wears on average 8 shirts a day. He is always pretending to be some type of animal...red panda, racoon, Norwegian wolf, coyote, wolverine, Alaskan malamutes (Siberian husky breed), Pomeranian, silver fox, red fox, arctic fox, gray fox, fisher cat, Persian cats, Russian blue cat, American short hair, European short hair, (Siamese birman cats), what the what? The list goes ON AND ON AND ON.
"Mom, guess what breed of animal I am?" Uhhhh I can't even! Tonight he is a Pomeranian his favorite dog breed. I said, "I should have known that" he said, "ya, cuteness Gods."
Well that's all. Wish me ALL THE LUCK!
