This past week was pretty good. Wednesday was fall conference for FCCLA, and I convinced quite a few students to come and pay their own way, which was basically a miracle. The students went to workshops, and the advisors chatted in the hall. We got back to the school early, and Gabby (she hitched a ride with my chapter) and I went to Costco on the way home. It was a most excellent day. For Halloween, my Adult Living students made pumpkin-shaped Oreo truffles, and my Foods students made pumpkin-shaped sugar cookies. On Friday night, my friend Krista hosted a witchy dinner, and it was most excellent. We ate dinner and watched a scary movie. On Halloween, John and I watched one and a half scary movies. I always get so tired and start falling asleep, and we had to retire early. It rained, and our neighborhood is small and off by itself, so we didn't get any trick-or-treaters. I'm not even going to bother buying candy next year. Corbin and Zion hung out, Gabby went to a Halloween party, and Piper and Ryan joined their dad for a quick trip to Utah to trick-or-treat with family down there. I won't lie, I was tempted to put up my Christmas decor today, but I held off for a few weeks and just changed out my Halloween decor for my Thanksgiving decor. I'm very excited for this coming week because Tuesday is a working day (students off), and I decided to take Friday off for my birthday. Heck yes!
