Beal Reunion

We had the Beal family reunion last week. I was dreading the camping aspect and that was indeed terrible. We minimally packed and we still barely fit everything in the van. Scott is a skilled packer! We set up two tents so we could put our bodies in one tent and our things in another tent. Both of our tents are kind of broken. I think that's okay because we aren't sure we want to tent camp again. I think next year we will find a nearby hotel/air B&B or we will rent a RV. We survived, the sleeping was the worst part. I decided to sleep in the van alone where I proceeded to not sleep but I was left alone and undisturbed by others, a place best for me in those circumstances. We camped in a RV park near Lava Hot Springs. The Cannons rolled in around dinner time on Monday evening. We scrounged some dinner and hung out that evening. The next day we drove to Bear Lake. The drive was beautiful. We spent the day playing in the lake. It was really fun. The next day I went on a hike with Brynn and Hart. It was hard, straight up the mountain. Yikes. It was fun though. It was a killer workout! After that Scott and I packed up all of our things and met the family at the Lava Hot Springs pool to swim for the day. After that we drove home. We did not want to spend another uncomfortable sleepless night. Minus the tent camping portion it was a great trip. The kids had tons of fun. Next year...hotel!

Nothing much happened after that. I worked on my classes and we watched the new episodes of Stranger Things. Ryan has been sleeping in our room. He usually wakes up once in the night and it takes about 5 minutes to get back to bed. Not bad. He has woken up dry 5 times. We will see what continues to happen. Fingers crossed.

Cute Piper

Corbin! Ha.

The kids patiently waited while we took FOREVER to pack up camp.

Bear Lake. I'm so glad I have siblings with shade tents!

Crystal Springs RV Park.

Lava Hot Springs

Ryan on a scary fast slide. No thanks!

After our killer hike.

We hiked to the top of that mountain.

I love that he is crossing his feet. Ha. And his monster blanket. So cute.
